Imago Studio City Relationships form for many people, a core to their lives and a nourishment for their need to feel loved. This may not be the case now as it was many years ago, but the profound want to have someone in our lives will perpetually remain. However, every relationship needs work and dedication because without these fundamental principals, a relationship will rapidly begin to deteriorate. Sometimes, it is hard to keep a healthy relationship in this day and age with rushing around and losing out on time with your partner. A technique in relationship therapy, know as Imago is practiced in Studio City and other cities is meant to be a help when situations like that become a reality. What is Imago? Founded by Harville Hendrix and Helen Hunt, Imago Relationship Therapy is not an easy practice to entirely understand and is based on various principals as well as ideas and beliefs. The concept behind this therapy practice is a combination of Western psychological systems, spiritual disciplines and behaviours sciences that are integrated into couple relationships. This theory is then used to help promote healing and growth within the relationship. Dr Jay Fibus, an Imago Therapist in Studio City, works on these principles with people who have just started a relationship as well as those that would like to improve on theirs, while creating a safe environment for the participants. The Imago Therapy process The Imago Therapy process is one that, like any other form of therapy, takes time and patience in order to start becoming effective. This form of therapy essentially looks and identifies the needs of the individuals within the partnership and continues to also look at those needs within the world. Dr Fubis of Studio City states that there are intrinsically three parts to the Imago Relationship Therapy process: 1. GROUNDWORK: In the beginning, a foundation needs to be set in order to create an environment of safety. It is at this point that the process allows for this to happen as well as to create solid base unity. 2. UNRAVELING YOUR CONSCIOUS RELATIONSHIP: You slowly and safely begin to take charge of and accept your unconscious actions that have been hurting or hurt your chances at a successfully and happy relationship. 3. CREATING A PRO-ACTIVE CONSCIOUS RELATIONSHIP: At the last stage of the Imago Relationship Therapy Process, you, as the participants, begin to make fully conscious decisions with regards to your relationship and thus go forward in creating a healthy and happy relationship. Dr Jay Fubis is an advanced level certified Imago Relationship Therapist with private practices in Studio City and West Hollywood. With a Masters Degree and Ph.D in Clinical Psychology, he is qualified in a number of other therapy practices. Dr Fubis is internationally renowned for his incredible knowledge in the field of psychology. He has also been interviewed many times and served as a consultant on documentaries dealing with love and marriage. He believes in helping people achieve their full potential in not only relationships, but as individuals as well.
