Anger Management Brentwood We live in a world today that is filled with lots of stressful situations. From the day-to-day job that creates pressure to perform to the people around us that can make even the sunniest day a day from the pits of hell. For some people dealing with these problems is easy, but for some people these situations can lead to serious thoughts of anger and resentment. For those people who have trouble dealing with or controlling their anger, the answer is sometimes anger management. Brentwood psychologist, Dr Fibus is one of many who can help people deal with their anger. Many people are lucky enough to avoid people with serious anger management issues. Those that are not so lucky will be able to attest to the fact that there is nothing funny about anger management. Brentwood is not the only place that anger can be a serious problem, indeed it is a worldwide condition that is growing worse as the world we live in create more stress. We live in a society where, for the most part, the expression of anger is frowned upon and is not socially acceptable. We are conditioned to 'turn the other cheek' or to just 'shake it off'. While good ideals, this can lead to, in some people, to serious problems if their anger is not allowed to come out. When a person becomes angry and is not able to express it various results may manifest because of it. One of the most dangerous is an unexpected violent outburst of anger that can lead to very dangerous and serious situations. Road rage is often an example of this kind of suppressed anger that is suddenly loosed upon innocent bystanders. Other negative effects of suppressing anger includes worsening of already present mental conditions, debilitating physical side effects, depression, and many other potentially dangerous conditions. Anger management, in Brentwood or elsewhere, is therefore important to maintain a healthy state of mind. Defining the type of anger is an important step in anger management. Brentwood psychologists may adhere to more or others, but generally two types of anger are recognized. Passive anger is that anger that does not bubble over. The person keeps it inside and seethes silently within himself or herself. This can lead to subversive and anti-social and may lead to violent outbursts when it becomes too much to handle. Aggressive anger is more direct and is easily recognizable but no less dangerous, especially to the cause of the anger and even bystanders. Once defined, the anger can be addressed. Admitting that there is a problem is the first step in anger management. Brentwood psychologist Dr Fibus can help people deal with their anger issues and help them to move on with their lives. No on should be a prisoner of their or anybody else's anger. It is a dangerous thing that needs to be controlled but also allowed to have its way when the time is appropriate.
